ROLE OVERVIEW • MariaDB is hiring a Senior Data Scientist with strong programming skills, deep command of analytical methods and the ability to turn complex data into clear business insight. You join a small, highly skilled team where your work directly affects how the business operates and decides. • It is a hands-on, high-autonomy role across the full data stack: sophisticated SQL in BigQuery and MariaDB, automation and tooling in Python, and AI tools such as Windsurf, Gemini and Claude. You are expected to understand how data is structured end to end, from source systems to the warehouse, and which analytical approach fits which question. • Communication is central: you translate complex data into clear narratives for stakeholders across the company, work independently and keep raising the bar.
