ROLE OVERVIEW
JumpCloud is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead its enterprise data analytics (EDA), enterprise systems engineering (ESE) and machine-learning development team in India. You build features, help drive architecture, define best practices and protect product quality while guiding the engineers who report to you.
You influence engineering practice as well as product strategy and execution, and use AI tools to raise the output of the team and yourself. The employer wants a technically capable leader who cares about great products and high-performing teams.

Every JumpCloud role is remote unless the posting says otherwise. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Manage and guide the engineers in the EDA/ESE/ML team
Operationalise Fivetran ingestion and dbt transformation to move Salesforce and NetSuite data into Snowflake/Databricks
Build unified lead-to-cash reporting (pipeline health, ARR, billings, churn, customer lifetime value) with Finance, Sales and Operations
Advise C-suite leaders with metrics from audited data models
Work with Staff and Principal engineers on features and architecture; join the engineering leadership team
Hire, onboard and mentor team members
Lead ML engineers and data scientists who ship production models and set quality standards for the ML lifecycle
Partner with product, platform and security on identity, device and telemetry signals
Run clear SLAs, monitoring, rollback and on-call for model health across L3-L5 engineers
WHAT THE EMPLOYER IS LOOKING FOR
8+ years in applied ML, including several years managing people and production MLOps (versioned training pipelines, evaluation gates, model registry, automated promotion)
Experience managing a team of 8 or more, including performance management
Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, dbt, Fivetran, Snowflake and Databricks
Good SQL
Strong software-engineering principles
SaaS ownership and reliability principles
Hands-on Agile experience
Effective with other engineering managers and technical and business stakeholders
Fast-moving, collaborative working style
Track record of continuous improvement through innovation, delivery, process and quality
Leading geographically diverse teams in a remote-first setting
Exposure to AI coding agents (Cursor, Claude, Copilot) and tools such as Gemini and NotebookLM
Leading ML engineers and data scientists who ship to production
Hands-on fluency in Python, scikit-learn/PyTorch/TensorFlow and large-scale platforms (Spark, Snowflake or equivalent)

Commercial development in several languages and operating systems (Golang, C++, Python, Java)
Strong software-design foundations
Statistical and ML concepts: supervised and unsupervised learning, anomaly detection, classification, ranking/scoring, model evaluation, imbalanced data
