Software Engineer (Mid / Senior / Staff / Principal)

ROLE OVERVIEW

• The work at Electric Twin turns complex decision-making into usable software. Engineers build systems that take customers from a broad question to a structured, trustworthy outcome, combining product experience, workflow logic, backend services and platform capability.
• Some work is highly customer-facing (interfaces that make sophisticated workflows clear). Some is systemic (services, data models, APIs and execution layers). Some sits between science and product, turning validated research capabilities into dependable product behaviour. The posting covers levels from mid-career to principal engineer.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYER Electric Twin describes itself as a behavioural simulation platform that lets organisations test ideas, messages and decisions against synthetic populations (digital twins of real audiences) and get answers in minutes rather than weeks. It says it has run over 40,000 evaluations across populations covering 155 countries, and cites independent LSE-linked research reporting outputs roughly 10,000 times faster than traditional methods at 95% accuracy.

It was founded by Dr Ben Warner and CEO Alex Cooper, is backed by Atomico, LocalGlobe, Mercuri and angel investors, and is described as a seed-stage company. WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES

• Own the whole problem, not just the implementation
• Shape capabilities and decide speed-versus-rigour trade-offs
• Judge readiness for customers and stay with the work as it evolves
• Join a delivery team of twelve: five engineers, five data scientists and two designers, reporting to the VP of Engineering
